Status of the Work in Gotthard South (Biasca)
On the surface installations site at Biasca, installation work on the access control system and train safety system is complete and the associated commissioning work has begun. Construction of the 200-metres-long pilot section (simulation of the tunnel invert with benches) is complete. Tests and optimisations are now in progress of the tracklaying and concreting processes. The first delivery of solid materials for concrete, of cable drums, and of installation material for the tunnel has taken place.
